With Wen D’r Maar Aan, Anouk presents her very first Dutch-language album — a bold new chapter in a career defined by reinvention. The record introduces a fresh sound and a new kind of songwriting freedom, without losing her unmistakable identity.
The idea started in 2015, when Anouk jokingly sang a birthday song for her boyfriend Dominique. The response was so strong that she released Dominique as a single — and the spark for an entire Dutch album was born. “People said: ‘You should make a truly Dutch album.’ I saw that as a challenge,” Anouk says. Released in 2018, Wen D’r Maar Aan captures Anouk at her most direct: personal, sharp, and unfiltered — now in the language closest to home. It’s a fearless record that feels both intimate and instantly relatable.
