Her brand new mini-album Trails of Fails reflects Anouk’s desire to keep growing and to explore new musical ground. Consisting of seven tracks, the album was recorded together with high-profile producer Jim Abbiss, known for his work with Arctic Monkeys, Adele and Kasabian, among others.

The songs were written during Anouk’s year-long COVID-19 quarantine, a period in which she was separated from both her husband and children. These circumstances strongly shaped the album’s intimate and stripped-back character.

Musically, the record marks a return to English-language, warm singer-songwriter pop, with a clear focus on emotion and vocal performance. The result is a collection of seven deeply personal and intimate tracks.
