I Live for You
About the single
On 11 March 2003, I Live For You was released as the second single from Anouk's album Graduated Fool. The single was released as a 2-track CD single in a cardboard sleeve. Besides the title track, the single includes a live performance of the R.E.M. song Losing My Religion, recorded during the AA Tour. This live version later also appeared on Anouk's 2004 album Update. The cover features a close-up photo of Anouk wearing a fur coat and hood. The same photo was also used for the European version of Graduated Fool, but for this single it was given a blue tint.
The music video for I Live For You was directed by Rosto, who had previously directed the video for The Dark. In the clip, Anouk can mostly be seen underwater. A making-of feature for the video later appeared on the DVD Close Up.
Despite the beautiful music video, I Live For You did not become a major hit.
