Who's Your Momma
Who's Your Momma is Anouk's fifth studio album, released in 2007, and presents a more groove-oriented sound within her catalogue.
While still connected to pop and rock, the album also incorporates clear soul influences. Around its release, Anouk linked that side of the record to her collaboration with producer Glen Ballard, with part of the work taking place in Los Angeles.
Recorded in Hollywood, the album was made at Westlake Studios and The High Window, and was produced by Glen Ballard with Anouk as co-producer.
Compared with some of her earlier work, the album places greater emphasis on rhythm, arrangement and a looser overall feel, making it a stylistic variation rather than a complete break with her established sound.
Anouk also described the album as the result of a more focused writing period, after a year in which she had struggled to work and write at all.
The album period also included the single Good God, with music by R.R. Stotijn and lyrics by Anouk Teeuwe and R.R. Stotijn. Stotijn also co-produced the track.
