If I Go
On 12 September 2008, If I Go was released as the fourth and final single from Anouk's album Who's Your Momma. After Good God, I Don't Wanna Hurt and Modern World, it was the first real rock single from the album.
The single was released as a 2-track CD single in a cardboard sleeve. Besides the title track, it contains With You, a song that was previously unreleased, it had only been available through Canadian iTunes.
A few years earlier, Anouk had tried to break through in Canada with With You, which makes its inclusion on this single a nice extra detail. If I Go was also chosen as Radio 538's Alarmschijf, just like Modern World.
In If I Go, Anouk sings lower than she had shown in a song before, especially towards the end. Unfortunately, no music video was made for the single, making it a rather modest closing release from the Who's Your Momma era.
