Woman
On 27 October 2009, Woman was released as the second official single from Anouk's album For Bitter Or Worse. It followed her number one hit Three Days In A Row and was chosen as Radio 538's Alarmschijf in week 43.
The song is a worthy successor to Three Days In A Row. Lyrically, Woman is quite sweet, but musically it still has the raw edge that people had come to expect from Anouk.
The single was released as a 2-track CD single in a cardboard sleeve, containing the title track and an instrumental version of Woman. Anouk wrote the song together with Tjeerd Bomhof of the band Voicst.
A music video was made for Woman, and a making-of video was also released. Woman is also notable as one of Anouk's last physical single releases, marking the end of an era in which her singles were still regularly issued on CD.
