About the single
On 8 April 2011, Down & Dirty premiered as the first official single from Anouk's album To Get Her Together, released that May. Produced by Tore Johansson, the song was played across all major Dutch radio stations that morning before becoming available online later the same day.
Ahead of the single, Killer Bee had already been made available as a free download on iTunes for four days from 28 February 2011, giving fans an early taste of the album.
Down & Dirty deals with the end of Anouk's relationship with rapper Unorthadox.
The single entered the Dutch Single Top 100 straight in at its peak position of number 5, and reached number 13 in the Dutch Top 40. It also picked up a Tip listing in the Belgian Ultratip (Vlaanderen).
