About the single
On 16 January 2015, Hold Me was released as a duet single between Anouk and singer-songwriter Douwe Bob, first announced two days earlier on RTL Late Night.
Anouk, a fan of the young singer-songwriter, asked Douwe Bob if he wanted to record a duet together, and he agreed. Ahead of the release, on 13 January, Anouk posted a promotional photo of herself and Douwe Bob together in a bath, joking that he had nothing to complain about. The following day, both artists gave morning radio interviews to officially announce the single: Anouk with Edwin Evers on 538, and Douwe Bob with Giel Beelen on 3FM.
Hold Me reached number 10 in the Dutch Top 40, spending 11 weeks on the chart, and reached number 2 in the Single Top 100, spending 20 weeks on the chart.
