About the single
On 29 May 2015, New Day was released as a standalone single, produced by Anouk Teeuwe, Tobias Karlsson and Thrice Noble.
The song marked a noticeably more upbeat, summery sound than Anouk was known for. Its music video, directed by Lize Korpershoek, shows a park full of partying friends, cheerleaders, basketball players and even bears, with cameo appearances from Kempi, Rochelle, Lil' Kleine and Douwe Bob.
New Day entered the Dutch Top 40 as that week's highest new entry, becoming Anouk's 33rd Top 40 hit and a 3FM Alarmschijf. It reached number 23 in the Top 40 and number 56 in the Single Top 100, and also picked up a Tip listing in the Belgian Ultratip (Vlaanderen).
