Run Away Together
About the single
On 2 February 2016, Run Away Together was released as the lead single from Anouk's tenth studio album Queen For a Day, released a month later on 4 March 2016. Written and produced by Anouk Teeuwe and Tobias Karlsson, the release was moved up from an originally announced 5 February.
The music video was directed by Dana Nechushtan, with Bert Pot NSC as director of photography, and stars actress Susan Radder rather than Anouk herself. The single was chosen as Radio 538's Alarmschijf, Anouk's 20th. An iTunes pre-order bundle for the album offered three new songs immediately: Dirty Girl, Run Away Together and New Day.
Run Away Together became Anouk's 35th Dutch Top 40 hit, making her the Dutch female artist with the most Top 40 hits at the time. It reached number 24 in the Top 40 and number 42 in the Single Top 100, and also picked up a Tip listing in the Belgian Ultratip (Vlaanderen).
