Set This Thing On Fire
Set This Thing On Fire is Anouk's fifteenth studio album, released in 2025, and marks a return to a direct, guitar-driven rock sound.
The album contains ten tracks, with Anouk describing it as a record built around strong new songs for the festival stage. After playing many of her heavier live favourites for years, she wanted fresh, powerful material for her summer shows.
Co-written and produced with Thomas Azier, the album combines contemporary production with rock-based songwriting. Anouk also pointed to mixer Ilke Bakker in shaping the album's different sound.
Longtime collaborator Martin Gjerstad also contributed to the writing, keeping the record connected to Anouk's broader catalogue while giving it a sharper current character.
Anouk described the album as a focused set of songs and said she tried to avoid fillers, wanting each track to stand on its own.
Although driven by force and attitude, the record also carries emotional and social weight. Vicky Lynn deals with missing children, while the title track reflects Anouk's anger about abuse of power and the courage of people who speak out.
