"It's So Hard" is the follow-up to the platinum single "Nobody's Wife". Expectations are high. Is Anouk a one-hit or does she have more notes on her singing? The first edition of the maxi-single had a sticker on the box that read: Free t-shirt included, while supplies last. This free t-shirt was white with the name Anouk in gray letters vertically and Together Alone in small black letters horizontally. The video clip also shows Anouk her full band for the first time. Although the clip was played a lot and the song became a crowd favorite during the summer festivals, it only became a modest hit.
