The single was released in January 2000 in two different editions, namely a 2 track single in a cardboard sleeve and a 4 track single in a plastic sleeve. Both versions feature a live version of Lovin 'Whiskey (Rory Block), which Anouk once sang in the television program' t Dak eraf under guitar accompaniment by "Eric Corton"

In "The Dark" Anouk thanks a musical hero: Charles Aznavour. Anouk has been playing the song live for a while (1998). For the rap part she is coached by E-life.

In the special video clip of Rosto, Anouk can be seen in two roles: the blonde Anouk and the dark Manouk. A true fantasy story takes place against a pink background, in which the band members at the time appear as devils after a while.
