Named after Anouk's own cats, the Bennie & Ballie Tour took Together Alone (1997) back on the road across the Netherlands and Belgium in the second half of 1998, with a bigger stage show built around more light and theatrical elements than before. Billy the Kid supported on every date.
The tour opened with a try-out show on 19 November at Nighttown, Rotterdam, where Anouk played a surprising acoustic version of "Time Is a Jailer" (never performed live before, with trumpet) alongside the live debut of "The Dark".
This was the tour's standard set, played essentially unchanged at Oosterpoort (2 Dec) and Muziekcentrum (12 Dec) as well. The Vredenburg, Utrecht show on 23 November, the tour's first proper date after the Rotterdam try-out, dropped "My Life" and "Together Alone" for a shorter 13-song set; at Muziekcentrum, "Nobody's Wife" and "The Dark" were played as a duet with D.o.o.A. and the encore order was reversed. No audio or video recordings of this tour are known to survive.
